He says his parents don't know he's gay (erm… maybe they do now?) and he doesn't act camp, so the other islanders might not even realise at first. Xanthi wants to get building, and won't be afraid to tell others to get off their arse and help. And one final point – with his competitive sales background, he's seriously in it to WIN.

Xanthi is cool.....but how can one go on a tv show and NOT tell one's parents that one is gay??? How uncool it would be to find that out about a loved one through a tv show?! It should be told on a one-to-one face-to-face basis.....they deserve that much respect at least. I just hope they are not too angry not to be told beforehand, and that they are cool with it. Otherwise, I think Xanthi is cool  |

yeh i s'pose but mayb its easier for him to jus let his family find out from the show, then they can get used to the idea by the time he comes home.
but also remember the show was filmed bout october i think, so he mite actually have told his family before the show was broadcast.

Takes a lot of guts, thats for sure!! I do wonder though how much is for 'screenplay' though, i.e. his parents perhaps did know but it adds an interest twist to the show, and an extra sympathy element for those watching/voting?
I'm just being a sceptic here, sorry, hehe

yeh it does seem to happen alot that they say they havnt told their family yet, so mayb for sum it is jus for viewing purposes.

Don't worry guys I tole my family before the show started, we got back in November so had plenty of time. None of it was for the show - the genuinely didn't know.

Me 2, im glad he is still officially a shark though, i might have had to temporarily change my allegiances if he became a tiger lol I'd like to see him cause a bit more mischief on Tiger Island while he is there lol, as long as he doesn't get permanently exiled there  |
