Sing when ever you want Hollie.

I can see that you are obviously very clever judging by languages and qualifications etc, but I am disappointed with your tactical judgement.

Why did you tell Sharkes that you were def going to stay there at the table, before you knew what was going to happen at the beach party.  You knew that the new arrival was already def a Tiger and that she would prob pick a Shark to move over.  It was obvious that the Tiger tactic would be to choose Adam, knowing that he would more likely stay with them if you were back at Tigers.  They assumed that you would go back as you promised and were counting on getting both of you.  Now they have been told that you, despite promising not to, had decided to stay at Sharkes.  The girls in particular are upset about this as it looks like you preferred spending time with Adam rather than them.  Also now that you have seen the episode you will know that quite a few Sharkes were very catty about you and did not really want you back.  Did you have no idea about what they were thinking?

What they did not show was that at the end of my week on Sharks, even Deej was happy to have me there.
Also, they made it look like my decision was based heavily on Adam when in fact it was to do with the fact that I didn't like the Tiger boy's mentality.

To be honest with you,  I wasn't happy with my actions this week either but I am a very impulsive person and I tend to rush into things without thinking about them. Once Adam had been stolen the Sharks were very supportive in telling me to nominate back and were really lovely about not holding it against me. I realised once I got back to Tigers what a mistake I had made and how MUCH I had missed herm and silks and going into beach party, I knew that I couldn't go back to Sharks.

It happened, it's not my favourite moment but it's something I learnt from and I've taken a lot from my Shipwrecked experience and that was one of the reasons why.

I'm curious - I know there's loads of editing, but I take it there's much more that I'd imagined?
From sitting down on the benches for the new arrivals decision, to going down the beach afterwards, how long would that generally take?  Cheers.

Thanks Hollie nice to hear from someone who agrees that maybe they did or said the wrong thing, but as you said we all learn from our experiences.

From sitting down to end of beach party took about 3 hours.

Cheers - from being out there, what do you think of the editing this year?  It seems to me there's so much more interesting stuff they could include, e.g. your story this week, with groups talking at the beach party.  Will she, won't she etc.  There was loads more of that in previous years, eg when Ben Lunt was thinking of nominating in 2007.

It was always going to be hard watching it back without a lot of the memories I found interesting. There's the Shipwrecked you see on TV and the Shipwrecked we took away with us, those two will always be different because there's just no way to fit it all into 46 minutes. The camera doesn't see the little fluctuations in group dynamics or how sometimes one thing can have a dramatic effect on the group. Everything needs to be narrated to the viewers either by the narrator or by someone actually saying it on the show.

I've got to say, one of the best things about this site is that the shipwreckers can talk about their experiences without interfering Channel 4 mods, like in previous years.
So thanks for all their contributions.

Cheers for now - got work to do.

Hi Hollie it's cool to see you putting your views across, don't you think the Tigers kind of backed you into a corner at the beach party?, i mean i know the aim is to win the game and all but they could have stolen any other member on the Sharks including yourself but instead they decided to snatch Adam while fully aware of the bond between you and him, i don't know about you but that seems terribly crafty to me, i could smell the manipulation from a mile away Roll Eyes , and what makes it worse is the one who devised it all apparently has the nerve to question your commitment to the Tigers in the next episode lol (sorry i had to laugh at the cheek of it), i for one don't think you did anything wrong, you followed your emotions, there's no harm in that as that's what being human is all about.

p.s. I'm no Cilla Black but i must say i thought the interaction between you and Adam was adorable  Grin .

Hi Hollie
Good to hear from a real life Shipwrecker.
Have you made up your mind, are you a Tiger or a Shark??

Lmao, it is quite scary.

I think Hollie is a tiger, I think that the editing was done to make it look like she was only considering not moving back to tigers for the sake of Adam but this week hardly any interaction was shown between Hollie and Adam at all so I don't think it was as big of a deal as the editors made out.
