Thanks for all the messages guys. Appreciate it. They are like the get well soon cards I never got! Ha! Although I had bust my leg open and required several stitches the cast where actually jealous that I was going, they new that I would be getting hospital food and a shower. In fact the first question on my return was not how are you? It was what did you eat? HA!

I thought I was going to be removed form the show as the series producer told me that I was a risk and that due to the nature of the injury – could not bend leg, required crutches on sand, not allowed in water, had to eliminate all trip hazards, could not sleep on beach etc. After lots discussion they then did an extensive risk assessment and spoke to the cast and crew who convinced them to let me back on the show. Xanthi had to sleep by my side and had a torch and a Claxton in case of emergency. I was also restricted to an area the size of a tennis court, not being allowed near the kitchen, beach, club, chapel or gym hence the reason I was not as Maz and Greggs wedding.

That’s it really. It was very annoying having to watch people swim and play around whilst not being able to join in. Also became harder to get to know new arrivals as I had to wait for them to come into my area to talk to them. Dan and I had a hand stand competition and I was trying to get up to his standard but after the injury that ended. Also I was the quickest on the island but after the injury Xanthi became champ and I was never able to re gain my crown in sprinting or wrestling. Ha!  That’s the day to day stuff they never show. On Shark Island there was always something going. Just a shame you guys can’t see it.

I'm so pleased you weren't shipped off home, you're one of my favourite Shipwrecker's this year, Shark Island wouldn't have been the same without. At least you had Xanthi there to look after you I wish we could have seen your and Dan's hand stand competition, as you say what a shame we don't get to see much of 'normal Island life'. Who was winning before you had to give it up. Did the Sharks looks after you? It must have been really hard to watch everyone else swimming and having fun, and not being able to join in.

Errr, Mackenzie - I don't think you were the running champ up until your injury brother!!! We never raced and then you were out of it, I would have kicked you ass as well. Haha!!!

awwww so happy that mackenzie comes back!! shipwrecked actually wouldnt be the same this year without him!
