A decent final episode. Poor Liran must have felt a bit stressed out with all that pressure laid on him as the deciding factor, plus he only gets a few days out of the experience, oh well. I thought he looked like he had a good time on both islands, so I wonder what influenced him in the end? His island laws were v therapeutic ones! Tbh I wish the producers had shown us everyone's responses, esp for people like Bene and Doug who go so little air time.

Poor Liam. Losing on £4k is not such a big deal, but then realising he could have won £70k must be so gutting! I think he dealt with it well. As mentioned by others, Hermione did well on her last week to do the best she could to fit in.

I'm glad they let everyone pic their final island at the end. I did wonder if Adam was going to stay on tigers but everyone else was obviously going to go back where they wanted to go.

Maz and greg - I don't know what to say about that. I mean, when she arrived on the island, was she properly broken up with her ex? And was she straight with greg from the start? She said that their romance was NEVER going to be more than an island fling, I wonder if he knew that. Then she made those comments to him about him being childish or something (I can't remember exactly what she said) so overall I got a bad impression of her, but I doubt we got the whole story so shouldn't really judge.

I liked the final games they laid on - again, would have been nice to see everyone's beauty pageant answers.

As for the winner - I haven't really liked greg much through the series. I did feel sorry for him but did he deserve to win? Maybe. I LOVED the shocked looks on the other sharks, some of them were giving some v dirty looks. I hope the tigers did as they said they should, and give the money to someone that it's going to make a huge difference to who isn't going to just waste it.

ditto to other comments about sonny - he certainly sounds like he learnt to grow up a bit. I hope nadejah has as well, and maybe Holli can learn to get on with others a bit better.

Overall was it a good series? It was ok, I don't think I'll bother watching it next year though if they have so many stupid twists.

Although i would have liked Tigers to have won,i do think the sharks were the stronger team so yes they deserved their win and i loved how gracious the Tigers were in defeat ,no crying or saying we are the real winners like the sharks last year,Lauren,Faith,Adam.Keris and stupid scouser Danny Im also glad people have begun to see that Sonny is a genuine guy really ,i wouldn't have even minded him winning if tigers had won as i think he's learnt alot about himself so glad Liam stayed loyal to his tribe and admired his honesty

Regarding Maz,well i never really liked her that much, there was always that annoying trait about her and the way she just dismissed Greg was selfish and cruel the poor guy looked crestfallen it was awkward to watch and yet again she had to be centre stage and when Lois spoke to her she was like oh it was never gonna last ,Greg obviously thought otherwise ,oh and if that had been Greg who had done that he would've been branded a lying rat and a cheat ,but cos she's a lass lets feel sorry for her and before anyone says anything i am a lass myself but it just bugs the hell out of me that she seemed to get more sympathy and understanding than he did,i felt ever so sorry for him ,he looked gutted and i agree with Nadejah that she just had some nerve to act like she did so now when Nadejah said a while back bout her been a bit fake and selfish was right ,i thought that anyway but now its confirmed it ,she probably got with him for airtime ,even my mother who's sort of watched it [no choice with me,ha ha] got annoyed that she ALWAYS had to feature and agreed that she's the type who loves the camera and will do whtever to get the attention ,sorry for the long rant but i am annoyed and i've actually warmed to Nadejah a little bit cos if anything she's not sneaky and will say what she thinks and for her to be in the running she must have calmed down a bit so fair play

I've not been on since the final, been busy..

Anywayyy...

Soooo happy SHARKS won, and happy Greg got the money, I think he deserved it, becuase he got on well with both tribes & i think he'll put the money to good use and won't just spend it on junk Tongue
Felt sorry for him with the whole Maz thing, he didn't deserve that one bit!

Really glad that Liam stayed true to Tigers, I know he said that if Sharks won he was considering staying thre for the money, but going back to Tigers proved that he was a Tiger through & through:)

Agreed about Sonny, he has definately grown up over the series, and he's admitted it himself that he's no longer a sexist, which is gooooood:D

Was nice seeing some of the shipwreackers on T4 after the Final too:). I'm happy for Dan and Xanthi, twas only a metter of time Tongue

Hero to zero aye?
I always swore that I would never post on here as it seems like it usually adds more fuel to the fire but I felt after how I was portrayed on the last episode I just wanted to explain a little more so you all had an idea of the full story. If you still don’t like me then that’s fine too but here goes…
My boyfriend split up with me and I was devastated. I really loved my boyfriend and begged him to stay with me but he thought under the circumstances it was best to break up. I honestly didn’t think there was any chance of us getting back together. Above all else me and Greg were best friends so he knew all about Joe and how much I missed him. Greg also told me all about his ex-girlfriend and how much he missed her and that they might get back together. That was why we initially bonded. I said that it was never going to work off the island because of course me and Greg talked about it. We lived in opposite ends of the country and he had just gotten out of a four year relationship and felt like he needed to be single. I was so upset and shocked when I got the letter because I had no idea that Joe wanted to get back with me and the thing he wrote in the letter he had never said to me before. This amazing guy gave me all these wonderful compliments and then it dawned on me what I had done. Suddenly it had gone from being his fault why we weren’t together to being mine. I felt like it was wrong of production to put me in that position when I was so far from home and asked to leave straight after.
As for the way it seemed like I behaved it was really poorly edited. My talk with Greg on the beach had been after he had been screaming his head off at me in the woods. Everybody heard this but we both refused to be filmed. All they showed was the aftermath where I said some nasty things in response. Greg is a fantastic guy and anyone thinking my actions were that of a gold digger when he won the money couldn’t be more wrong. I was just happy for him and we had been best friends so of course I was going to jump on him and be excited just as I would if any other Shark had won! Me and Greg are still great friends and I am still with Joe now.
As for being a camera hog, I have no say in how it is edited. We were all filmed equally with the exception of a few quite people such as Doug. You don’t ask to be filmed, they ask you for reaction interviews etc.
Oh, Liran asked me about people island hopping and swapping and I answered. They just didn't show his question. That was completely blown out of proportion! I did genuinely think that the last person picked an island by who they thought deserved to win but  stood corrected by the person making the decision. Thats all that was.
Well, I think that’s about it…

Hi Maz thanks for posting.

The editing clearly did you no justice at all in that whole greg situation and it was obvious that all was not how they made seem.

My question is, how did you get on with the other girls on shipwrecked? In particular the girls on Tiger Island - Hermione, Frankie etc who seemed very likeable.

Thanks for posting Maz, God knows you didn't have too. As far as im concerned shipwrecked this year has been ruined by editing. Perhaps it was in previous series but then again we didnt have this forum then when people were given free speech so to speak.

I feel Maz has been realy hard done by with editing as have alot of the ''wreckers'' its disgusting the way the producers have tried to make ''stories'' something they wernt im seriously not going to bother watching next years if its commisoned.

Anyway good luck with Joe Maz.

Best Wishes.

Thanks for posting Maz, you really didn't have to. I loved all the Sharks this year but i think the editing was pretty bad. I think some threads have got out of hand. It's a shame that the Shipwreckers have been forced to come on here and explain or justify themselves. BTW i loved what you wrote on your letter for the time capsule, i thought it was very true about gaining strength through sharing your feelings. Anyway good luck for the future Maz, and thanks for being a great Shipwrecker Smiley

I was just wondering if Dan, Doug and Adam put something in a seperate time capsule when they went back to Shark Island. It would have been a shame if they missed out on leaving their memories, especially Dan and Doug when they had been Sharks for so long. I thought it was brilliant Island law, really fitting considering it was their last fews days on the Island. It was obviously a very emotional thing to do and i loved how passionate they were about their experience, the people and the Island they were about to leave.

Well i stand corrected ,sorry Maz for been a bit quick to judge although i never made any reference about you been a gold digger, even i thought that was a bit harsh ,I was just hyped up about the letter from Joe situation ,i didn't realize or even know that both you and Greg had ex partners with whom there was unfinished business ,not that its any of our business but the editing team could have at least highlighted those facts and i must agree that production were wrong to give you Joe's letter, knowing it would cause upset and awkwardness all round camp ,poor Greg's face ,that was so disrespectful of production to put you both in that situation and i'm glad you still get on okay and that you and Joe managed to work things out and are still together ,I'm just sorry that other fellow shipwreckers don't seem to be friends with Greg anymore ,anyway sorry once again for unfairly misjudging you ,I just hope, next year if there is another shipwrecked they [the editing team] get their act together ,this had the potential to be a cracking series but instead it was just mediocre.

Hiya all,

I feel reqlly bad not being on here to reply to the final show, but i was manic with work and getting myself ready for my cruise at the end of may, so didnt really have my mind on the main things, like coming onto GetShipwrecked!!! How naughty of me!

Anyway, i am pleased for Sharks to win, but i will always be a loyal Tiger, but they did seem to have the stronger characters on Sharks and so you can see the attraction for the new arrivals.

I loved Greg, and am soooooooo pleased he got the money. It was a toss up between him and Mac for me. It was funny that Mark already had his winnings spent, and had no idea that the money was not going to the team! Bless him, Mark was a love though. In some ways it was good that the whole tribe didnt get a cut too, as there were some that were deserving of some and others that wasnt. But, you go into the thing thinking the whole tribe gets a share, so i think that was a bit cruel on behalf of the production team.

I think they wanted to do a similar thing as last year when the Hawks made the final decisions, but that was a brilliant twist! This one really wasnt very well thought out, and just frustrated the viewer and let down the whole tribe.

But huge congrats to Greg! He was a bit favourite on both tribes, and bloody good on the eye too! Even at my age he was a gorgeous looking man! Well done to you Greg, and the Sharks.

Go Tigers (have to stay faithful to my strippy furry buddies!)
