Episode Seven. I still don't have a favorite island.
Fortunes are changing, this week's arrivals choose Tigers. Not before kicking up dust on the Sharks, but they loved the Sharks and said they didn't know which island to pick. Is it compulsory to say that, in order to create tension before they make their final choice?
More drama this week. Soodi moves to the Tiger Island. The Sharks said they knew nothing about her discontent. Even the sweet and very lovely Rosie.
Anyway Soodi is no big loss to the Sharks. She was such a trouble maker. She apparently told stories that annoyed. She was such a trouble maker, that her leaving caused the Sharks to turn in on themselves. 'Some Shark members are not pulling their weight!' It was said by Zanthi. Didn't Soodi say that a couple of weeks back? Trouble maker!
Tiger girls were not welcoming to Soodi. 'She doesn't like us'. Hollie and Hermione repeat. They hoped that Soodi would return to the Sharks. The Sharks don't want her back. The new girl on Sharks decides that Soodi should stay on the Tigers. She must know Soodi really well.
Tigers didn't look very good conspiring against Soodi. Though it appeared to be just a couple of the girls. It's a shame that Hollie didn't remember what it was like to start out on a new island.
Have the Sharks ever watched Big Brother? That game is a reality show task. There was not much grace to be had on that occasion between the Sharks.
The pontoon race. What a shame Silky didn't win. The boy's seem to love lording it over the girls and that's on both islands. What a long way to swim for so few toilet rolls.
Well it seems that these days are the happier days, next week they are all in tears.
I am not rooting for one island over the other. I hope Soodi becomes accepted. I think Doug, Rosie, Dan, Liam, Sonny and Silky came over well in this weeks episode.
I don't think the new arrivals meant to cause trouble on Shark Island but it was funny.

Some really good comments there elle, I thought it was one of the better episodes of a somewhat dull series to date.
Both sets of new arrivals seemed cool and down to earth and although it was quite easy to work out due to spoilers
, I was quite surpised they chose Tigers.
From watching it they certainly seemed more taken with the sharks party ethos than the tigers laied back island life. Im guessing the sharks arguing for most of the time they were there probably swayed it.
Im going to put my neck on the line though and say this although i support tigers again this year i just have a feeling sharks are going to win. I can certainly see why new arrivals would find them appealing.

I can't see the competition. It's an illusion and a mind game. The winners are the ones that get something out of being there. I suppose, the ones who learn the most about survival, about sticking together.
The standing in a line was difficult for the Sharks because they are not that close. They are not friendly enough to play that game they've never played it before. They are good at the dancing game and we have seen them playing that one a few times. The Sharks are not easily led even by the appointed (unnatural) leaders, the new shipwreckers, who they are supposed to be impressing.
It's hard to tell what's going on because of the editing. Even the islanders don't see all that is going on.
My speculations are that there is a strength between Xanthi and Mackenzie. Xanthi has people skills and fronts the leadership. Mackenzie pulls puppet strings, he tells islanders like Rosie what to say and do to try and secure new recruits. Xanthi and Mackenzie have allowed Greg in to keep him in their tribe. Possibly Dan feels left out in the cold when it comes to managing the island. Dan brought up important issues, this seemed to set Xanthi off. Doug is a keeper of the peace, I can't tell if he is appreciated by the group. The new girl, Lois, came over as a stirrer in that episode. She recognised who the leaders were and has gone straight in advising them to reject Soodi, should she wish to return. ,What a bitch I thought. Remember the Sharks were surprised that Soodi wanted to leave. So was there a grudge with her before she left???
Nadeja also appears to have some sort of power, probably down to being stubborn and not engageable unless it is under her own terms. The girls have more trouble with this, causing arguments between themselves, the boys, put up with her, choosing to do nothing.
The Tigers deal better with the being led. They have gone from being the underdog to supposedly taking in the 'rejects'. Soodi and Marcus. They have won the new girl Della. Will she fit in with Hollie and Hermione??? Soodi seemed very happy that they chose Tigers
and she chose to stay.
They would all get on better if they learnt to share LOL. Which was what Dan was on about.

I wasn't a massive fan of this episode, I found it quite boring and the sharks are just really irritating with all their bickering. I did like both new arrivals and it was one of the first times you could see that the new arrivals were really close and worked well together. Why do the sharks argue so much, they all seem really insecure and don't feel comfortable with one another. Xanthi seems to tell it like it is but in him doing this it ends up with more arguments. Nadejah is back to her usual annoying self, Greg seems to have finally settled on an island though I think Dan might move. If Lois was on Tigers then Dan would definitely move, that would swing everything in the tigers way. I thought this was a really bad episode for the sharks they really need to sort themselves out. For the tigers it seems like they are a well-run really tight group which is what you would want coming onto the show but I still think new arrivals will be swayed by the sharks high energy, I just think if the new arrivals actually spent half a week on both islands instead of 2 days or whatever it is then Tigers would be winning as it is easy to cover the holes in a group in such a short time.
Saying that, holes are starting to appear in the tigers camp as well with Soodi. Why has Hollie got it in for Soodi so much? I think its a bit overdramatic though I can see why soodi would be annoying. I think Della is a real catch for the tigers, just the person they need. Jack will be another one of the lads.....its gonna be hard from now on for guys to settle in at the tigers now that they have such a strong bunch who all seem to get on so well. Why did Tom look so unimpressed about being paired with Hermione? It doesn't look like he wants to be part of the 'TV couple'. Maybe he was upset about not being one of the 'strapping lads' thought that was quite funny. Maybe Franki and Jack might get together, though Franki does seem to fancy everyone!
The pontoon race was one of the worst bits of editing i've seen, what an anti-climax. And the prizes were rubbish as well. Hopefully there will be another one with some decent prizes and maybe the editors could try make it even slightly tense.

The sharks didn't come across well at all on this episode. I found the previous week's episode very entertaining and i was really looking forward to this one....boy was I disappointed lol. I really find the sharks irritating, they're either arguing, moaning or just generally acting like they're sexually frustrated at that dodgy club X thing xD
The tigers, on the other hand, i felt shone in this episode. As the sharks were crashing and burning, the tigers were showing a united front...yet again, apart from the fact that Soodi was being a bit shafted lol (i really hope she gets accepted soon, herself and Hollie need their heads banging against each other)
Let's hope this week's episode is back on form and, judging by that Beneditta character, it doesn't look set to disappoint!

Mhmm, judging by the preview, she seems to cause a hell of a lot of trouble on both islands :/ at least it's some entertainment, although i don't think i can stomach another Nadejah-type character this year! arghhh lol

Actually I think she was justified in her complaints about Tigers - not a good episod for them they really showed their bad side. If only it were enough to make Jack nominate as id love him on Sharks! He didnt seem too impressed by the back row cheers when the newbies chose Sharks.
Generally I think Tigers came across as bitter, stroppy and childish!

I was disapointed with the pontoon race, not like other series... Didn't show sharks in the best of light. However the tiger girls didn't give soodi a warm welcome was swaying towards tigers after this episode, will have to see. The pontoon race prizes where abit rubbish compared to others...

Tigers, between Sonny and Liam. Sharks, Makenzie (is he a fitness type?) and Greg, he looks fit (original meaning). I'm guessing.
It won't be Nadeja or Mark.
hahaa Nadeja's too lazy to do it anywayy
I thought this episode was great, Jack and Della are IMO the best new rrivals (other than greg or dannny
)
