Err, with all due respect, you have no idea what it is like out there. When you arrive and people do not welcome you, it isn't the nicest feeling. Your emotions are all over the place over there and its not like you can pick up the phone and call your friends and family to make you feel better and re-assure you. I think alot of the people are very bias on here - Liam probly cried more than Bene but no-one seems to have picked up on that.

Also it seems to me that C4 are really going after the stereotypes this year, obviously i have no idea as i was not there but it seems like the editing has been done specifically to make her seem the "demanding princess." To be fair to her she's the only new arrival who seems to have taken on the role of island leader with any real vigour. I dont think it was arrogance i think she just wanted to see her ideas implemented.

The whole stereotype thing seems to have also been attempted with placing Dan and Doug together - but they're too lovely to fight!

It's a shame one didn't cry warm tears, the other cold.  You could dress them up as taps and have your very own wash basin!

I know, nobody's said that we know what it's like out there, because we clearly don't. All i'm saying is that i found her tears to be quite false, considering the fact that she was crying over the fact that the attention wasn't on her for what seemed like an hour - maximum.

But as you said, i'm sure there are people who've cried more than Bene but it's just been edited out. Don't forget, we weren't there, like you were, when it was happening so we don't know what ACTUALLY went on, we're just forming our opinions on the episode we've just seen

& i think the majority of us DID pick up on Liam crying, but his tears seemed more real, due to the fact that there was clearly something wrong with him this week as he is usually very welcoming to the new arrivals, and on this particular week he clearly wasn't.

I think she was quite right the Sharks are a lazy bunch and prob needed a kick up the bum to actually do anything about the accommodation.  However, she did let herself down when she quit the work after only half an hour.  Did it not rain that much this year as they don't seem to bothered about getting wet.  In previous shipwrecked series such as when Crawford built a great place they seemed to get more done.  Maybe this is because they had more time as show was longer.

The week before we were informed that the Shark camp was far better than the Tiger's. Bene was not well received by the Tigers and their activity was not an issue. I don't remember the new arrivals being leaders.

Bene was unrealistic with her demands on Shark island she did not make a good start there but ultimately chose to go there. Will she stay?

I started liking Bene towards the second half of the episode. She was a little bossy to begin with, but she chilled out a bit after her trip to the Tigers. The crying didn't annoy me so much, it showed a softer side to her. I think we might see a few fireworks from her, but that can only be a good thing

...and guys lets bear in mind what these guys have been through - flying away from the comfort of the UK, not really knowing whats in store ahead of you, meeting a load of wierd strangers on an island where you can't even have a sh*t without familiarising yourself with the vegetation around you so as to wipe your bum!!

I think it'd be quite harrowing personally - not to mention the fact that we don't know how long new arrivals are in the area for before they actually set foot on the islands themselves - perhaps they're kept on the shore in a hotel from the start of the series?

Kevin did steal her thunder big time. Although it seemed a bit annoying that she was crying cuz she wasnt getting the attention you can kind of see where she was coming from... most new arrivals get treated like royalty and she was just unlucky that liam/sonny and kevin kindof ruined it for her.

The first week must be the hardest not knowing anyone and being so far from home so you would kind of hope to be welcomed by everyone.
