liam did apologise kevin didn't that is ignorance in my book

Pretty sure I did, it might've been off camera or even on camera and it wasn't shown... I apologised to Bene as well... I'm not having a dig, all you know is what's shown...

I'll quote Liam from another thread

Quote
There's so much more that's filmed and not shown.

What you won't be told is that the main reason I'd been pissed off and taking it on on Kevin and Bene was that the production were getting involved with the storylines, they'd told us they can't create storylines but can 'facilitate' any storyline that we come up with. But Kevin told me that he'd said he really liked it on Sharks and the production crew said to him "Oh, you don't have to go to Tigers if you don't want, stay here, it'll make a good storyline" so that's what he did.

As for me talking to him and saying it was disrespectful, it was, but I initially said I wanted to talk to him off camera, one on one but they wouldn't allow it.

So in future, everything you watch and hear needs to be taken with a pinch of salt because the episodes you watch, might not be exactly as they happened.

Liam. x

I'm not trying to completely negate my actions, yeah it was a dick move and I completely regretted it. Even though it was production's initiative I still went along with it, ergo I bear responsibility for it.. But hey, people got over it.

ok i apologise ,like you say and liam already said in his quote production getting involved is bang out of order and they didn't show you apologise to bene and yes i'm over it ,i have had plenty of sleep since then [figure of speach] like i've said before i do blame the crew for that and tbh i think it's obvious this series that crew seem to be involved and there's other things which don't seem to make sense but i'll leave it at that as i just can't be bothered but this series had the potential to be great but they've ruined it with all these silly twists

I'm looking forward to seeing what happens when Bene goes to the Tigers next week.  I agree, she was not shown in a good light in her first episode, but why on earth were Tigers so down on her?  Not sure we'll find out though.

It was unfair that she seemed to not get a great reception from Tigers but from what i saw or should that be what they shown she seemed to think kev not going over was funny ,not once did i see her say anything like ''what kev did was thoughtless and selfish'' or ''cos of his stupidness its created an awkward atmosphere'' ,i'm not saying she had to apologise for his actions or suck up to Tigers ,but she did seem blazae about it but had plenty to say to tigers when certain ones acted in a certain way ,I never even seen her say to camera about what kev did was wrong and i think certain Tigers felt the same way, like she thought kev was within his rights to not go over i must admit i'd be annoyed with that kinda attitude myself ,respect is a 2 way thing

I hear what you say lioness, but if she had settled there, I don't think the Kevin thing would have reflected on her.  Having seen this weeks' episode, I think she was just way out her comfort zone on Tigers - and with Hollie's comments about Tigers, I think I would be too...

I think she should great loyalty to her tribe, by putting Stacey in her place when she was whinging about Shrks not making an effort for her (erm thats what you asked them to do love Huh). She seems like she is quite an emotional person, not that theres is anything wrong with that.

I felt sorry for Bene this week.  She obviously wanted to stay with her mate Nahedah (god knows why) and was very upset then the Sharkes made no effort to win the new arrival which would have allowed them to get her back.  It must have seen to her that they did not care if she came back, and to be honest apart from Nahedah no one seemed that bothered.  It must be horrible to feel unwanted.

We still did make a big effort with Stacey - I think the fact that we had 2 of the most laid back sharks doing the tour may have been interpreted by Stacey that we didnt make an effort but we all chatted with her, tried to make her feel at home. We still did the make up competition with Stacey but she obv just clicked and loved the tigers too much. Plus, the sharks at this point assumed the twist would be that if tigers won, they would have to banish a tiger. We really did not know whether it was an advantage to win new arrivals because the week before we had to banish our own tribe member.

I think the tigers treated her pretty badly. They only seems to want 'lads' and 'pretty girls'. Am I right in that perception?
One of the reasons I like Sharks this year is that they are a far more diverse bunch, and accept people for who they are rather than what they are.

The Tiger lads come across that way - don't know if that's down to editing, as Liam posts on here and seems nice enough.

I quite like the girls on both islands, but prefer the lads on Sharks.  (They seem more rounded characters, not 'The Lads')

How can you say the Tigers treated her badly, they obviously all liked her.  The "lads" were obviously keen to see a pretty girl, but then isn't that natural.  However, I can see that the "lad" mentality is prob why maybe the gay or hippy types preferred Sharkes.  I agree that the Sharks are a more diverse bunch because of this but they then tend to split up into groups rather than be one big group like the Tigers.  This point is made by every new arrival and it all depends on whether they like the big group idea, or have bonded with a few people and want a bit of space, as to which island they pick.  The way people form groups and act within them is why I love this sort of programme so much.

Agree 100%.  That's where I think previous series were better than this one.

They concentrated a lot more on the island dynamics, getting to know the islanders etc.  (Particularly in 2006 and 2007)
This series is far more about island law - we haven't got to know the islanders as well as before.
Also there's less airtime - I actually preferred the Hutcam Diaries to the main show in previous years - that was great to get to know people better.
