I was just reflecting on the series this year and does anybody else think alot of the shipwreckers have had a hard time this year. Thinking of Benneditta, Kevin, Adam, Liam, Hermionie, Tom and particularly Dan. He is my favourite so I am completely bias but I think he has had a rough time. He is probably one of the only new arrivals that loved one island and hated the other. None of the tigers made an effort with him, and 2 weeks before the end he gets stolen to go back there. He is deffo one of the most loyal sharks and to me represents what Shark island is all about. Still, throughout it all, he is always smiling and laughing. To me Dan is a very strong character and seems to have really embraced this experience even though in my opinion he has had one of the hardest times. Fingers crossed for him next week.

Yeh, thats why I think he has had a hard time. He looked like he had some very good friends on Shark island and spent alot of time with a few individuals, but now he is stuck with the tigers 2 weeks before the end. I know Liam has been banished, but if he made an effort, he could have probly got on with a few of the tigers. Mackenzie did say that they wanted to make him feel really welcome. Dan on the other hand, was stuck on tigers and seems very different from alot of the people. Adam still had Holly and as a new arrival he said that he had a great time on both islands. Watching last week, the Tigers were all in the sea and Dan had to make his own way there. No one seemed to make an effort with him, but he still remains upbeat. Maybe I am letting my love for Dan blind me haha, but I do think hes had a raw deal.

I don't know if I agree with Dan having it the hardest, (stop with the dirty thoughts, I can't think of any other way to phrase it), but for a few shipwreckers I think it might have been a bit tougher than what they were expecting. I think the person I would say has had the tougest time would be Bene? Hmm not sure. Didn't Dan say on his first week on being sharks he had considered nominating. I can't really remember this properly but I'm sure theres a clip on the website, please don't shoot me if I'm wrong. He also made good relationships with Silie by the sounds of things so I'm sure he was ok.

I think you make a very good point. I agree, i guess it all depends on how much the individual can take, and how sensitive they are as a person.

I love Dan, he represents everything a Shark should be. He's Fun, bubbly, outgoing, up for anything, and he also cares about other people's feelings. I feel so sorry for him being banished to Tiger Island. Lot's of new arrivals seem to be torn as to which Island to pick but i don't think there was any doubt in Dan's mind at the final beach party. The Tiger boys made absolutely no effort with Dan, he just didn't fit in on Tigers, he didn't fit with the boy's laddish, alpha male profile. It was clear he was a Shark the moment he got on the Island, he seemed naturally at home, having lots of fun and they suited his personality. Yes he did say if Lois and Markus chose Tigers he mght nominate but i'm sure that was partly due to bonding instantly with Lois. Dan is a very popular member of Sharks, and it looked like he got on well with them all. So naturally i was as devastated as the Sharks were when Dan got stolen forever to Tigers, it was cruel and really sad because we all knew how badly they had treated him the first time, but i don't know if he's had the hardest time. Of course it must be hard for him now, being on an Island he really doesn't gel with, but he seems to be the kind of person who can take it on the chin, dust himself off and just get on with making the best of a bad situation. Dan said himself there wasn't one part of him who wanted to be on Tigers Island, why would he when he formed such close friendships with Lois and Xanthi? But he's obviously quite a strong character who dealt with his situation much better than, say, Liam. I think despite not finishing on the Island that loves, and while, he's probably having a rough time on Tiger, others have had it tougher than Dan. 

I also felt sorry for Adam, he seemed to take his banishment pretty badly. I don't think i realised how much of a Shark he was unitl he started crying at the beach party, and said he wanted to go home. I feel bad that the experiences he wanted to share with Shark Island were taken away from him, especially when he seeemed very concerned about giving others a great experience, individually rather than as a tribe. It showed that the stealing and banishments were tough even on those who appeared to have a great time on both Islands. But Adam also bounced back and just got on with things, even though he didn't want to be there.

Kudos to both Dan and Adam for dealing with the horrible situation so well. It looks from the outside that they are stronger people inside, mentally, than Liam who obviously was having a hard time. But i think Liam made it harder for himself, i'm sure the Sharks would've preferred Liam to join in rather than distance themselves.

I think Bene and Andrew have had a tougher time. At one point it seemed like the whole Island was having a go at Andrew. It must feel very lonely and isolated when most of your tribe are rounding on you. Also Bene had quite a bad time on Sharks, think she was releived to be going to Tigers, then had an even worse time there. I can understand Shark's frustration at Bene coming on thier Island and trying to tell them how to set up thier camp etc, but the way the Tigers behaved towards her was just plain nasty. They took out the anger they were felt towards Kevin on Bene, that to me was very mean. To make a new arrival cry isn't something to be proud of, and when Sonny and Markus clapped and cheered when they chose Sharks i wanted to slap them, how immature can you get. And then, just when Bene was finding her feet on Sharks she was stolen and had to stay on an Island which had her in tears for a whole week, with no support, and no-one from Sharks to keep her company.

 - and it looked from this episode as if Matt was chatting away to Dan, and been forgiven for the steal, so that will be at least one Tiger glad to see Dan on their island.

I felt really bad for Andrew the week he had a barney with the tribe and I am not his biggest fan. He did say it was only 4 people he had a problem with (maz, mark, nadejah and I think xanthi) But he seemed really run down.
