Char [Shipwrecked 2008] on a programme on BBC Three
«

So I was watching the end of this programme last night on BBC Three just before Eastenders was on and I think its called 'How to live like an animal'? or something, where the two people live like and with some animals [pigs, dogs etc] for a week and have to eat their food, sleep where they sleep etc, LOL.
Anyway they showed a preview for next times episode [not sure when thats on btw!] and it was Char from Shipwrecked, Third Island! I think shes living like a Seal or Penguin or something, haha.

they seem to like using ex reality stars on this programme then, coz i saw the horse one and the girl on that was a girl called Zoe that was in a channel 4 programme again prob shown on t4 a few years ago called playing it straight (i think) or something like that anyway. Where she had to choose which ones were gay to send home, and was hoping to end up with a straight person to split the money with. anyone remember this?

Oh yeah I remember that! That was a great series, it was a guy who was actually gay that she ended up choosing in the end, wasn't it?
Also I'll have to make sure I record that prog next week with Char in it! I thought she was amazing last series

Does anyone know when its gonna be aired? Is it once everyweek this programme? It might be next Thurs if so.
lol, not sure if it was a Seal or Penguin, so don't take my word for it! I think it was somethin in the water though... Eww if she has to eat raw fish, the people who were on the last ep had to live like a Dog and were made to eat dog food...

I agree. Char was amazing last year, absolutely brilliant. I thought that her, James and the survival guy, was it Nick, made third/Hawk Island a real success. Char never moaned, she didn't spend time crying over the fact that she wasn't on Tigers, and made the best out of the situation she found herself in. I thought the three of them had a very genuine and sincere friendship. Char took to third island life, like a duck to water, and she got stuck in when others would have run away. I admired her guts and spirit, she's definitely one of my favourite Shipwreckers ever.

Yeah me too. Char, James and Nick really seemed to form a tight bond, but were also very inclusive of everyone that came to live on Hawks. Diva was also one of my faves, she came across really well, and even though she was a girly girl, she wasn't afraid to get stuck in. I preferred the Third Island twist last year to the different twist each week this year. At least the audience was in on it from the beginning, we knew what was going to happen but the Shipwreckers didn't. Also i think the people on Hawk Island got more out of the experience, because they thought their Shipwrecked time was over, but were given a second chance. Even my mum watched the show last year, mostly because of her admiration for Char.!!!

The third island was a great twist i thought, especially because of the landslide Tiger win! The beach party after the Tigers won is probably my favourite shipwrecked moment ever, they were so happy and the Sharks were gutted
, thats a bit mean isnt it lol.
I loved how welcoming the third islanders, they were the friendliest nicest people and i totally agree about them getting the most out of their experience. I think if you thought you would be going home you would definitely make the most of it and not take anything for granted. I wish we could have seen more of the third island last year

I know what you mean. I loved the final beach party last year. I was as much of a Tiger girl last year as i am a Shark girl this year. I loved their closeness, and how tight knit they seemed. I was so happy for them, to see them all dive into the ocean after they had won was probably the best memory i have of last year's Shipwrecked
I too, loved how welcoming the third islanders were, they were such a nice bunch of people. They didn't know they would play such a huge part in the final so they were just enjoying the experience for what it was. I guess if you thought that your Shipwrecked experience was over, then it turned out you weren't going home after all would make you more determined to savour every moment. I loved how they came up with the name Hawk Island by themselves, and, like the Tigers seemed very close as a group. Their faces were a picture when they found out that they would ultimately decide which tribe won

I loved how close they were too, i think it is better when there is less people because you can see more of them. The Tiger originals were all some of my favourite shipwreckers ever except Tom lol, I loved Marvin, Carly and Susan, its a shame Carly and Susan's friendship didnt last though lol. The only Shark i liked last year was Cerys(sp?).

When the third island came in the boats to Shark and Tiger Island last year, i loved it! Probably one of my favourite shipwrecked 'memories' ever... They were all like 'OMG! Is it all them we sent home?'. They were all so excited to see them but not so much when they found out why they were there, haha.

It was definetly better when there were less people on the Islands. You can get to know the people better when there's a smaller group of them. I think this year's would have benifited from having just one new arrival a week, which in turn would have made the series longer.
The Tiger orignals were fantastic, they all got on so well, and really bonded with each other
I'm gald they got rid of Tom, maybe not the best way to do it, but they were better off withou him. It was such a shame to find out that Carly and Susan's friendship, which was so strong didn't last after they went home. It was never really explained why they fell out, does anyone know? My fave on Sharks was also Kerris, she was sweet and i really liked her down to earth attitude. For me some of the Sharks were a bit too full of themselves. The final beach party showed them they weren't as great as they thought they were
When the Hawks arrived on the Islands you could almost sense the excitement and the fear in the Sharks and Tigers camps. I think they were really happy to see them all again, but also worried about why they were brought back, i wuld be too, Once again, the audience were kept in the loop, we knew why they were there but the Islanders didn't. This year we're in the dark as much as the Shipwreckers!!
