I've had auditions for the last two years but haven't been able to make them as they're silly times mid-week in the middle of London. Even got an email to invite me back for another opportunity after I didn't turn up to one. Gutted as I'd love to do it, would jack my job in in an instant if I was guranteed to go, but only if I was an original as I'd wanna do the whole journey!

i had an audition for last yrs but i didnt turn up i chickened out ryt at last min lol.... i wish i did go tough as u neva know i myt of got on... if der anova 1 dis yr i am gunna apply n if i get an audition i am deffo gunna turn up dis time.... n i agree wid cy242009 i wud wanna b an original 1... du whole da journey but i wud still go onit if i werent an original but i wud deffo rather b an original

Ohh you should, if you want to you may aswell go for it otherwise you may regret not doing it. I may seriously consider it when I'm a little older, I would like the first new arrival(s) after the originals are their.

You have to be 18 (by july of the year it's filmed) to go on...
It's worth a shot, I never thought I had a chance in hell of doing it and was relectant to spend £40 for the train for a show I didn't think I'd get on... my grandad said "dont be stupid, you dont know what could come of it" and said he'd pay for me... In the end one of my friends had an audition and was driving down anyway. But I'm rambling now, just go for it, you don't know what'll happen.

yh but wot happens at da auditions ? i fink dat mostly da reason y i didnt turn up last yr as didnt know wot 2 expect! im deffo gunna go 4 it dis yr if they av 1 but wanna know wo happens at auditions ?

im 16, 17 on the 26th of this month, but it's not the age limit on the show that puts me off, it's just I'd like to be older myself to be sure its deffinely something I would want to do. At the moment I'm not sure, it looks fun but I'm in two minds lol. |

I'd consider auditioning if it is still on when im old enough, its probably the only reality show id go on cos its not really in the public eye that much, i would never go on big brother, the people on there would be unbearable!  |

lol i agree it is da best 1 as u dnt c ewt in da paper bout shipwreaked.... so no1 get sell storys.... big brother is bad u deffo in da publie eye every1 sells storys....... plus bein in 1 house wid ppl dat u myt nt get on wid will b unbearable at least on an island u will b able 2 stay away 4m them

The auditions normally take 3 days. What happens is they select small groups (generally around 4 people), dump them on a nearby island and then leave them, to see how they cope. (There are hidden cameras, which you are instructed not to touch). You're marked on 3 different criteria: 1. How you cope with island life. 2. How you get on with your fellow islanders. 3. Can you keep a clear head when they release the crocodiles onto the island. If you survive, you're given feedback when you return. |
