I know the Shipwreckers were on the islands for less time than in past series - but we haven't yet seen any sign of some letters from home and with it being so close to the end it doesn't look like we're going to.
The letters always usually made for a good episode and an insight into each of the individuals home lives so its a bit of a shame its not gonna happen.

I too have been thinking the same thing,last year it was two weeks before the final when the twins were the new arrivals ,i was hoping to see that this year but then i think there's alot more they could've shown and not bothered showing some of the stuff they have instead ,this series could have been brilliant but instead its been mediocre some of it has been good but not great such a shame

Again i assume there not going to show it since next sunday is the final, which is a shame really as it give us an insight into how much the shipwreckers are missing family how they are ciping ect ect.

Is this a shorter series than the previous years? If so that might be the reason, if not then I don't understand why they haven't shown us it unless they just didn't get letters.

Maybe they didn't bother as it was getting a bit old watching them all sit round crying... the letters all sounded the same every year anyway...

Heat magazine says that this week Maz gets a letter from her ex boyfriend so I am guessing that we will see the letters this week. I remember in the first 2 series of BOTI it happend in the final week. Last year I think they did it earlier because the 3rd island was a week ahead.
